Truck Driver and Dock Worker Job Requirements

Sprinter/Non-CDL Driver
A minimum of 18 years of age is required.

Non-CDL Driver Straight Truck
A minimum of 21 years of age is required.

Class B Truck Driver
A minimum of 21 years of age is required. All Class B drivers must have a minimum of one-year experience as a driver of a commercial or non-commercial motor vehicle, similar to the type utilized by US Cargo.

Class A Driver City
All city tractor trailer drivers must have two years of verifiable driving experience or a minimum of one-year verifiable driving experience and diploma from an approved accredited driving school.

Class A Driver Linehaul
All linehaul drivers must have two years or verifiable over the road driving experience (approximate 100,000 miles) or 12 months verifiable over the road driving experience and possess a diploma from an approved, accredited driver training school.

Dock Worker
US Cargo has a preferred age of 18 years, or older, for dock workers.

Career Advancement Opportunities
Truck Driver and Dock Advancement Program – US Cargo offers a truck driver advancement program for employees to further their position within the company. Career advancement opportunities are offered from dock worker to Sprinter driver or Class B CDL and Class B CDL to Class A CDL.

The safety and well-being of our employees is important to us and is why we invest heavily in new equipment. The average age of our fleet is less than 3 years old and have mainly automatic transmissions. Our vehicles are also equipped with the latest safety technology.

Trailers

A total of 35 trailers with an average age of 4.1 years.
